Monday:

INTRODUCTION: Select 4 of the videos to watch. As you watch, take notes and sketch ideas (what is a trebuchet? How does a trebuchet work? What are the different parts of a trebuchet? Which parts seem essential to making the trebuchet work? … etc) You will use your notes/sketches to help you create your own table top trebuchet in class.

Once you have completed this initial research, take your research a step further. Look for online sources that answer your questions. When you find a good source, email the link and a summary of what you liked about it to the teacher.

  • complete your planning phase. You will not be given any adhesive materials until you have:
    • a sketch of your building plan
    • a list of the materials you will use (including amounts of each item)
    • a documented praise/polish from at least 2 other teams
  • Once you show me these items, you may begin the construction phase. I will give you tape and glue to start your work
    • During construction you may decide to make changes to your design. This is ok - just make sure to create a new sketch and revise your materials list.
